What is a crossover? |
Equalization is the process that an electronic device uses linear filters to alter the frequency response of an audio system. Equalizers can be used to make voices more prominent, enhance an instruments tone. or combat feedback in an audio system.
|
Crossovers split the audio signal into separate frequency bands that can be separately routed to loudspeakers optimized for those bands. Usually a two way crossover will separate frequencies between high and low. An average crossover point would be 120Hz.
